Cyber cafe bussines

hi, I need help from u guys…
Right now I have 50k …
How can I budget for cyber cafe with Internet

Now that people have Internet in their houses, you talking if cyber? Do cyber exist anymore?

One used PC with a 17" screen is 15k. If you have just three, that is already 45k. You still have rent, printer, paper, power, salary, etc.

As someone has already suggested, everybody has a phone and many have home connections. What additional services can you offer that justify visiting your cafe?

50k is too little for a cyber cafe…

And I want to sell video cassettes and VCRs. You should study the tale of Kodak versus Fujifilm. Maybe it will enlighten you.

Sit down and write a plan with budget and projection before spending a cent.

A: Investment:

Computers
Printer
Binder
Laminator
Rent deposit and first month
Power
Desks, chairs, etc
Wiring
Modem/router
Internet
Personnel
Promotional materials

B: Earning projections:

Internet access (surfing)
Services (KRA PIN, DLrenewal, typing, copying, scanning, etc)
Product sales
Movies

Being realistic and aware that the competition is murderous, project how you will earn to break even (i.e.get your B to exceed your A and begin to make a profit.). If it looks bad on paper, look for something that requires no physical infrastructure, like mali mali or shylocking. 50k is not much today.

As villagers have already said people nowadays have internet in their homes. People also have the necessary machines e.g printers in their house. With that done a cyber is not needed anymore.

Cyber cafe is yesterdays business

As much as we might say cyber business is on its deathbed, visit densely populated areas in nairobi and you will reckon that cyber business still has a long way before it can be completely written off.Though we can say that profits are not that high anymore.Hizi maeneo za pipeline, tassia, kware, githurai, huruma et al cyber huwa zimejaa watu daily.

That mentality that cyber business is dead is really sickening. People have smartphones and printers and laptops kwa nyumba but very clueless on how to use them. Ni watu wa cyber hu end up kuwasaidia kuzitumia. Hata wale wamama wa harries hutumia simu zao za 100K for phone calls only hata email hawezi soma hapo. People have the capacities but no knowledge of shit. During census guys who are employed would be seen going to cuber cafe’s waandikiwe barua coz they don’t have a clue and yet they have laptops and widescreen phones. Cyber business is still there to stay for a long time.

cyber cafes are here to stay.

Exactly! Cyber cafe biz is no longer for internet(surfing). Think about printing, photocopying, govt services(driving licence, KRA PIN, NEMIS etc). Kwanza the more govt pushes people into online registrations, the more sections of the people get stranded!

Contrary to what someone said up there, most people don’t own printers. Lots of people with computers don’t own printers and rely on employer printers to do assignments etc hence the need for cyber biz,

I think this guy just needs 2 computers and a printer for a start
