Police Constable No. 6390 Samuel Omala attached to Kamwenge Police Station allegedly arrested the driver of a Range Rover motor vehicle for driving without a mask. He then informed the driver that he had impounded the car and asked him to surrender the car keys.
He ignited the engine and drove the said car to the COVID-19 holding yard at the police Station. In the process as he drove towards the police station via the highway, he lost control and it overturned several times. The police officer suffered serious life threatening injuries including a crashed right leg at the knee, broken pelvic bone and other body parts. He is now being admitted at Mbarara referral hospital.
The incident generated a lot of debate on why the policeman was only interested in the car, and left the suspect behind. The IG of police said that police are well aware that they are not supposed to drive suspect’s cars.

I’ve said here before, these guys get lobotomized once they join police college, whether in UG, Kenya or the US. Their actions make no sense whatsoever. Just look at what they did to this guy, is this the work of normal human beings? These people crossed countless roadblocks from Malindi to Meru, only for the man’s relatives to be turned back at the last one. The guy was ordered to pambana na hali yake with his wife’s coffin.
