Dangote - Kenyans more corrupt than Nigerians

Dangote says mega corruption prevented him from investing in Kenya.

https://nairobinews.nation.co.ke/news/dangote-mega-corruption-investing-kenya/

The selfish self-seekers from moi era are back in govt and in key positions, 1 of them is dp and is the top contender for 2022.
In the moi days when a big foreign investor came along, the govt honchos first reaction was “WHAT IS THERE FOR US???” …NOT “HOW WILL THE NATION BENEFIT/LOOSE?”

WE NEED TO REJECT RUTO and his hench men,
Uhuru was a big mistake, Ruto will be a catastrophe.

And who should kenyans embrace as our savior, saidia Sisi jamaneni!!!..

There’s always a price to pay when you vote for the wrong people but no Kenyans have to vote for their tribesmen .

Dangote calling Kenyans corrupt is the height of hypocrisy. If we start digging into his past deals with the Nigerian government we will find a litany of corrupt deeds.

There’s no universe in which Kenyans are more corrupt than Nigerians. It’s just not possible.

uongo

unbelievable garbage

It should be titled “Jeff Koinange claims Dangote said”… as far as his company is concerned, and unless we hear it from the horses mouth one can only assume it is going forward. Which type of competent journalist does not ask follow up questions or seek more information to even narrow it down to a ministry or office?
The conglomerate, owned by Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote, did not give the reasons for the change of plans in its latest annual report which disclosed the delayed entry.

Dangote has also reviewed its Kenyan manufacturing plan, noting that it will build two plants instead of one but will maintain the total capacity at three million tonnes of cement per annum.

“Kenya is high on our priorities and we plan to build two plants of 1.5 million tonnes per annum each, near Nairobi and Mombasa, to serve the local market. We hope to be operational in Kenya by 2020/21,” the company said in the report. https://www.businessdailyafrica.com/corporate/Dangote-Cement-now-delays-Kenya-entry-to-2021/539550-3847650-vl0yqfz/
Doesn’t make us less corrupt though

I agree, we need to do better.

Dangote was edged out by the elite Kenyan business society, as well as the overly protective government. There is a reason why South African (and now Nigerian) magnates don’t succeed in Kenya. It has nothing to do with corruption.

If they don’t allow Kenyan products entry into their markets the government is bound to prevent their companies from doing business here freely.

Shed more light

It’s called business protectionism - Google it. Kenya has always locked out big firms from SA since way back, otherwise we would shopping at “Shoprite” instead of “Tuskys”. We would be calling on “Vodacom” instead of “Safaricom”. Drinking “Castle” instead of “Tusker” and so on.

Kuna wenzako in another thread wanadai vile the government has created a conducive environment for a kenya be all that he/she can be.

Why can’t he invest in Nigeria

You have no idea of what protectionism is do you? You also can not distinguish selfishness from altruism can you? You also appear not to appreciate competition in a market and it’s benefits to a society do you?

Kwanza SADC seems to favor SA over other members.

Except on car dealership.

Special interests in Kenya protect their turf from competition coming from places like South Africa.
