I was so intrigued and, for a few months, kinda obsessed with Elden Ring. After playing it multiple times and watching countless lore/speculation videos, I decided to finally pick up the complete Dark Souls trilogy and start the journey. I should’ve picked it up sooner.
Dark Souls is The Lord of the Rings of video games. The once in a lifetime trilogy that is insanely good in all aspects; the story, atmosphere, presentation, music, and even the spectacle. If role playing games turn you off, I would recommend even just watching the story on YouTube. Yes, it is that good. But I would highly recommend playing the games yourself, starting with Dark Souls 1.
I’ll admit, the journey isn’t without difficulty. But trust me, you’ll get goosebumps when you hear the final boss theme from the first game playing on the final boss fight of the third game. I got a little “crestfallen” when the credits rolled, and I realized the journey is at an end. The Lord of Cinder had fallen and The Fire faded.
Ds3 It introduced me to the series and they have all captivated me with the lore and atmosphere. Hizi ndio games nilikuwa nacheza nikienda kulala naota na hizo maps na bosses, uko meeting serious job kwa boardroom saa hiyo kwa akili unajaribu kufikiria bonfire next Iko wapi
True! I remember day dreaming, especially in ds2 and 3 wondering where could this NPC have moved to? I should probably talk to this guy after killing this guy… etc. The first play through is magical. Especially for people who enjoy fantasy and RPG worlds.
That’s what I thought too. It was my first soulsborne game. I remember I met Father Gascgoine and he seemed impossible to beat until I had to put the game down for a few months out of frustration.
Haha. He also gave me a very hard time. Hii game ni kama the smaller the boss, the harder he is to beat. Dark Souls 3 pia iko sawa lakini. My favorite boss ni ile ya Sister Friede but Bloodborne to be honest has better combat IMO. Kumbe kuna talkers wanapenda hii vitu hivi.
Sister Friede is a cool azz boss. My top five are Slave Knight Gael, followed by Pontiff Sulyvahn, then Sister Friede, Midir (just for the OST alone), Nameless King, and lastly Dancer of the Boreal Valley.
I’ve had great things about Bloodborne and I plan to play it on a long uninterrupted weekend. If not I’ll save it for the week of Christmas. I want to take my time with that game; look through every inch of the map. My only fear is that it may not have cool looking armour sets like Dark Souls/Elden Ring.
Guardian ape was my favourite. I was playing blindly, hiyo ape iliamka ikiwa headless thinking that I had finished the fight, kumbe Kuna second phase. Baadae Tena napatana nayo na ape ingine karibu nilie
It’s not even about damage negation or resistances. It’s a habit from jrpgs where if I can’t transmog my best armour I wear the one that look the coolest to me.
In DS, I had the Paladin armour set, DS2 I rocked the Grave Warden + Bell helm, and in DS swapped between Ornstein and Black Knight. Only time armour mattered was for poise after being invaded because every invader seemed to rock high vigour and perseverance skill/miracle to fvck shit up.
Bruh… I’m getting invaded by people from Mars. I’ve had lag free invasions in DS1 and DS2… but in one out of four people in DS3 it lags as hell. (NG+3, Level 155)
:D:DYou must anticipate your opponents move, in order to git gud. Kuna siku hadi I got back stabbed from a very weird angle. Ni kama damage is dealt on the attackers screen. Like if an attacker hits you on his screen you take damage, even if you are not hit on your screen, so wako mbele yako or some shit like that.
