Death of mobile apps. Cause, BOTS.

I came to know and interact with bots when I started using Telegram but I never paid much attention. Recently I came across a Facebook ad that they (facebook) are looking for bot developers for their fb, whatsapp, messenger and IG. I read the article below (interesting) and I was left with lotsa questions. How do bots work? How are they able to interact with different apps in different platforms? Is there an investment opportunity? And etc.

“Developers listen up, I am not saying that you should not develop apps, but think of it this way, how many more people would you reach through a Facebook bot as opposed to building your own user base for your app? Users don’t care whether you have an app or not, they care on how easy it is for them to get access to your service.”

And APIs Application Programming Interfaces
Anyone?

Thanks in advance

You’ve raised a very valid point

Acha tusubiri hawa tech enthusiasts.

But you find that in many companies their Facebook account handling more traffic than their website or apps.

Following

am not on Facebook, I get my apps from the playstore. I am not going to install Facebook messenger just to use your service through a bot. If you cannot place your app on the playstore then forget about me

Also will your bots have a graphical user interface required for some apps? eg How can I use your bot to create a Spotify playlist or watch a YouTube video in a depreciated window while looking for a different video just like in the YouTube app?

Android Instant apps work better https://www.androidauthority.com/use-android-instant-apps-749544/ lemme keep using them.

Bot ndio nini sasa? Mimi najua mboch tu

Good insights but you might be surprised on many things bots have to offer…
