Did Uhuru Bribe Judges in 2013? : Boniface Mwangi

Activist Boniface Mwangi has questioned whether President Uhuru Kenyatta bribed judges in 2013 when the Opposition lost their case challenging his election then. Mwangi criticised Uhuru’s thrashing of the judiciary in public, terming it immature.

"The Supreme Court [in 2013] upheld his election, so is he implying that he bribed the judges to get that favourable judgement? Or is it bribery only when the judgement does not favour him?"Mwangi said in a Facebook post on Wednesday. The Starehe MP loser said Uhuru has every right to disagree with the ruling, but trashing the court publicly was shameful and demeaning.

“If the Supreme Court Judges were bribed, Uhuru would have made the transactions public and investigations would have commenced.” He said the President has access to the military, the National Intelligence Service and Kenya Police Service. “If money exchanged hands, it would be very easy for them to track it. If there is probable cause, a search warrant can be issued and the houses of the mentioned Supreme Court judges searched,” he said.
