Disappearing Photos on Note 8

Hellos.

Photos keep randomly disappearing from Note 8. Cant see them in Gallery or under DCIM on PC. Anyone knows how to recover the Photos, or a Permanent Fix to this

Check cloud back up settings

I insist on this. Go check the Google Photos back up settings. It might be set to ‘Back up and delete pictures’.

Nope. Problem is not with Backup Settings. Actually no Photos were being backed up online (Google or Samsung Drive). I Don’t trust these Companies. Anyway, this whole thing is a mystery. Take Photos, then some disappear…
A Simple Google Check reveals this not to be an isolated Case…

It might also be “Device Maintenance” app. Of late every time you optimise your device it deletes important stuff (hasn’t deleted my photos yet though) instead of unnecessary data.

Don’t use that app to cleanup storage.
