The Employment and Labour Relations Court has ordered for the removal of the names of any public servants appointed to participate as supervisors and enumerators in this month’s Census exercise in Rachuonyo North Sub-county.
It has also directed the authorities concerned to make public the names of all supervisors and enumerators shortlisted to undertake the exercise.
The orders followed an application by 5 residents who argued that the public officers failed to adhere to principles of recruitment and to provide information as requested, and that the exercise was not subjected to public participation, contrary to the Constitution and Fair Administrative Action Act.
