I am still trying to figure out why this guy pulled out American troops leaving his kurdish allies defenseless

Turkey agreed to investigate Burden.

Biden

He should fight a NATO member to defend his enemy Syria?

You are very slow

Your wit is on a level beyond my comprehension,my apologies…

They were not fighting a NATO member but detering them from attacking his kurdish allies. If the troops were left in place, there is no way Turkey would have assaulted the kurds who btw have been of great assistance to the US on ISIS

Why he decided to abruptly abandon an ally and literally “leaving them to be slaughtered” as Kurdish commander said, is something I find baffling. But there must be a reason behind it which is what I am trying to get at…

you deter using force of arms

You can deter simply by using the presence of a weapon and/or troops. Thats why we have US troops in korea to deter the north. Thats why during the cold war, the US had hundreds of thousands of troops in Europe as did the Soviets… to deter the other side. Also, nuclear bombs have arguably detered a 3rd WW. They havent been used between the Great powers, but their mere presence is a deterence

The US knows more about ISIS than we know. They know more about their interests around that area than we know. They are acting in their BEST interests.

Sawa… that “interest” is what am trying to decipher. Also, its possible a US president (or any president) can unknowingly act in a way that is detrimental to US interests yet he is convinced he is working in the best interest of his country

MAybe it’s really something behind Russia investigation with that matter exactly to the Mr. Putin birthday anyway. And I do hope we can really make something like that later. Thanks for that for sure, I do hope it will really bring more peace in the world.
