A few minutes ago I received a call from one of DSTV’s customer care/service personnel who politely inquired as to why I have not bothered reconnecting my account since it was disconnected about 8 months ago, and do I have any recommendations I can make to DSTV!
Well, I dutifully let her know that:-
[ol]
[li]I had gotten tired of watching too many repetitions on almost each and everything.[/li]
[li]That despite a price increment effected against a huge outcry, nothing in the programming or bouquets justified such increment.[/li][li]That I am awaiting the landlord’s consent to install my dish for FTA[/li]
[li]That since I subscribed to Zuku Internet, I can stream virtually any sport of my choice from the comfort of my sitting room without feeling ripped off.[/li][li]That it was a high time they restructured their bouquets to resonate with the choice of their clients desires/wishes For example, I love football, rugby and cricket, plus documentaries. Why cant their personalise their bouquets so that I can pay for what I want/watch only, and don’t end up paying 8,000 while watching for or six channels only.[/li][/ol]
Well, shock on me when she told me that those were more or less the same reasons many folks who refused to reconnect after disconnection said, but she was professionally coy when I inquired if the number was that high!
Which left me with a question. Was DSTV suddenly becoming sensitive, or had their practises finally caught up with them, or might the introduction of digital boxes which offer additional content be driving many clients away.
If many have had the same complaints, they shouldn’t be asking you why you haven’t reconnected your account. They should be taking action to please their subscribers. Seems they have no clue why they are losing the pay tv market.
Its not that they don have a clue but
their money hungry tendancies and greedyness wont allow them to change… Am pritty sure if GTV was still around dstv wangekua wanalilia kwa cho.
