I’m looking for a phone that will last for an year plus after different phones endlessly dying on me. Any recommendations are welcome.

Looks like you’re the problem here, how does a phone go dead after only a year of use?
Stop downloading stuff on your phone, accessing unofficial apps. You’ll be good. Anyways Huawei , Samsung, apple all will last but depends on usage .

Am also in the same situation. Looking for new phone. Most likely a huawei. However my current huawei phone( first huawei phone I ever had) has issues with charging port after a year of use. Is this a common huawei issue I wonder?

Huawei charge ports usually last, problem arises from using the cheap charging cables

Unless you are buying a no name phone most phones tend to last forever with just the minimum amount of care. if you want longevity but an aluminium body phone as opposed to the cheap black plastic… it makes all the difference.
