Selling is not an option, there are a lot of recycling companies that can help you to dispose of your old electronic device without causing harm to the environment. For example, I use Rubbish Removal Perth services, they are recycling electronic trash for a pretty small sum of money. Of course you can sell your old devices, or you use a trade-in program, but unfortunately nobody wants to buy a broken electronic device, and not all companies offer you are trade-in program.
