Earbuds review Wuod Ombare

These Jabra Elite 7 Actives are the bomb! Most of you know that Nyamgondho wuod Ombare lost the more expensive Jabra Elite 7 Pro which I had pre-ordered sometimes last year.

Earlier on I had decided to switch brands but I couldn’t get earbuds with equivalent features. And in that list I considered Sennheiser, Bose, Sony, Beats, Master & Dynamic and so on.

The reason, I didn’t get back to Elite 7 Pro is coz the grip was poor. Although they were small and comfortable they didn’t sit well in my ears. In more than one occasion my left earbud fell off and it often took time to retrieve. The 7 Actives have some special silicone coating that keeps in place…and so far it seems to work perfectly.

What’s really pleasing is the sound stage… They sound very much like the 7 Pros but with a little more bass. And this makes a huge difference! I understand that the extra bass is for energizing athletes during intense workouts.

The bass is commanding but never gets muddy even at max volume. The bass is really clean… the mids are quite intelligible and vocals are really clear & crisp and don’t get drowned out by the bass.

Songs like Da Rockwilder- Red & Meth and The Box - Roddy Ricch got me nodding my head in public while rhumba by Madilu got me singing along. Overall a wonderful listening experience.

On these, I like my bass a little heavy, I often raise the upper mids a little so I can hear instruments clearly and set the trebles abit high to boost brightness and vocals. Here is my EQ settings on my Jabras.

I’ll edit this post to add earbuds pics. I mostly listen to my music from Spotify, Amazon music and YouTube. I definitely like these more than the 7 Pros.

Hey, you forgot to include your affiliate links in the article

I also have jabra earbuds, love them though ni fake za jumia

You should probably try IEMs too. They always have better sound than earbuds which are mostly manufactured for the average consumer. For wireless you can’t go wrong with the Moondrop Sparks. If wireless is not a must then get Arias, Truthear Crinacle Zero, Tin Hifi 2, Dunu Titan S, and if budget is low, then the Moondrop Chu or the 7hz Salnotes.

All these will easily beat most of these earbuds while sacrificing some other features of course

@administrator seems I can’t edit my own thread and add a few pics. WTF. Anyway, here is one of the earbud pics. I couldn’t add it yesterday because I was listening to some music.

Dowload the ISO and mount and then run. It should work

I am a rich man. But we can do a deal.

Just repost this thread in other sections of this forum and I will pay you 1000 bob every time you do so. Do we have a deal?

Very true… I am not an audiophile tbh and I don’t own IEMs but I have heard nice things about them. I saw el jefe the other day reviewing the Moondrop Alice (TWS) and he raved about them. But they are quite chunky and wouldn’t want anything that big. I am assuming the Sparks are chunky as well. I wouldn’t pick earbuds for audio alone.

Actually IEMs fit your ears a bit better since they can go deep inside. These are the Moondrop Sparks, they sound amazing. I use them lightly and mostly prefer wired headphones, but they are great for convenience. If you want something that goes very deep to almost an uncomfortable level that would be Etymotic er3se

The great Nyamagondho, Deezer walitoroka Kenya though weirdly it’s still available via Amazon Alexa and I had a very well curated playlist

Last I checked, they are still in Kenya but walitoa the free version and hiked prices on the premium. Normally these companies usually have different prices for developed countries vs the rest of us. So they used to charge us less than half of what they charge to European countries, but then some genius somewhere decided to scrap that system and now everyone is paying 10 dollars per month. I loved Deezer but I had to quit after that. However, there is a clone of the app called Freezer, it’s free, but only streams at 128kbps

You can try Tidal also. Get a free trial of one month. Best quality out there, but during registration you must use a VPN because it’s not available in Kenya (but Uganda have it). After that, hawatakusumbua tena. Most bright people usually sign up for Tidal using a VPN ya place kama Argentina where it’s 2 dollars per month. Any vpn will do, even a free one like windscribe.

In terms of quality, Tidal and Deezer win because they play FLAC files, but Spotify is still the better algorithm. If you mainly use Bluetooth, just stick to Spotify
