Egypt vs Ethiopia

Ive read here varied opinions about the simmering tensions of a war but mostly of how Egypt will crush Ethiopia in a war… :D:D:Dit wont be that easy my friends
Egypt cant do shit to the dam. Why you may ask? They also have a huge dam upstream which if Ethiopia bombs would mark a terrible catastrophe in the arabian mans land. While Ethiopia doesn’t NOW depend on the grand dam Egypt is heavily dependent on their dams for power and irrigation. So if it comes to bomb my dam i bomb yours, the arabs will cry. They might win the war but incurr huge huge losses. Infact its an unwinnable war. They will have to rush back home to put out the fires. Depending on one thing(the nile) is dangerous my friend, its like riding a car without a spare tyre. In this age of drones, all out war between the two will be a spectacle to behold.
One thing that might tilt the scales is whoever has the best defences, firepower and suprise attack will reign Supreme… Katambe!

Egypt wanyaganywe hayo maji.Ata sisi Kenya even if we are underdogs we can throw a jab or two, because Ethiopia might sell us cheap Electricity after the war is won.

I think Egypt have accepted the fact that there’s nothing they can do, Aswan high dam Pia iko n it will be bombed in equal measure. They just need be diplomatic with Ethiopia or give incentives for alternative energy solutions as they fill up the dam slowly. Imagine Egypt & Sudan have 7 dams along the Nile yet Ethiopia can’t. That Nile treaty is a relic, Kenya and EA should have backed Addis on this issue and have the treaty re-negotiated collectively with all Nile upstream countries for equitable use. Vita ikiumana, poison the waters downstream with lead & nuclear waste…ukimwaga unga namwaga mboga ala!! :smiley:

Kenya’s problem isn’t a lack of electricity. It’s that the local production exceeds local consumption. The facilities generating power were built with loans that are being recovered through expenses charged on the consumer.

To make matters worse, Jubilee went headfirst into the Rural Electrification program which has flopped as majority of those connected can’t cope with the expensive bills.

We’re stuck for another 15 years before we have cheap power in 254

Egypt hakuna kitu hio ni hot air. Ethiopia is battle hardened. Kikiumana we poison that water hizo ghasia zikufe zote. Sudan for its own survival should back Ethiopia.

Ethiopia walishinda wakoloni akina @Bingwa Scrotum ni nani?

You never poison water. You should never forget that everyone lives downstream.

Sudan supports Egypt …we as Arabs will stick together

Ngoja tu uone

Amazon River has no dam or bridge across it tafakari hayo

Egypt may be stronger now militarily but is at a great strategic dis-advantage…

Our worst problem is some funny contract between ken gen and companies that generate electricity using diesel. The contracts cannot be breached yet they run for years even though we no longer need thermal energy.

Electricity could be cheaper currently if the contracts were not in place because the overall cost of hydro and geothermal even though funded by loans as you say is still low.

Io idea ya kupoison maji :oops:

Egypt = US.
Ethiopia = China
this would be a catastrophic war for residents of both countries and ethiopia would risk being crippled by american hegemony machine.
Americans would just fund and arm a local conflict and then give them a media blackout like they did to libya. who knows what goes on in libya today?

Let nobody wish for war. War is very unpredictable. Already Somalia is unstable… South Sudan too and now Ethiopia? This cannot be good for Kenya. I hope egos zisifike huko. And Kenya we have issues kuna ile maneno ya boundaries with Somalia. Is the ruling due in Sept? Shall Kenya accept a ruling that is unfavourable when the head of the court is a Somali national? Smh.

War is not good for the majority of us. Only very few gun peddlers profit.
