What could be the problem?
All the bulbs in this house are not lighting up. The TV, music system, Iron box, microwave and other appliances are all working though

Check kwa consumer unit kuna power breaker mbili moja ya socket na engine ya switch… check if both are on and do the necessary if does not work change Io ya light.

lakini lights na sockets huwa zinatolewa kwa ccu differently so lazima iwe ni lights zime trip

The circuits, Lighting and Power ( sockets ) are different. Check on lightning circuit

Mboss kuna three phase na single phase power.

Ka uko na three phase kwako,yafaa ujue ni phase gani ina power sockets,lights ama cooker yani red,blue au yellow phase.
The first diagnosis is usually on the meter(modern ones) coz there is a possibility of a blackout on one phase from the grid.
if all the phases are live,proceed to the consumer unit.
Test all the mcb’s with a tester/meter Coz some fail even without tripping esp cheap ones.

Back to the question, you either have one phase failure which is highly unlikely for a peasant hovel or the most probable cause is there’s a short circuit in your lighting circuit which causes the breakers to trip vile umeambiwa hapo juu. Or the breakers have failed so replace them. (they are usually the first breakers from the left with the smallest rating)
