BY NT CORRESPONDENT.
A Nairobi Magistrate court has slapped warrant of arrest against a Nairobi Flamboyant businessman Jared Otieno facing charges of obtaining USD 169,000 from two foreigners by false pretences.
Milimani senior magistrate Martha Mutuku issued the arrest order after the prosecution applied for the same saying that Otieno who is charged alongside businessman Sikanda Ismail Abdalla Saleh failed to appear in court.
The accused persons are charged with obtaining millions of shillings from a South African by pretending that they were in a position to sell and ship for him gold.
Otieno allegedly become widely known after he bought a Porsche for Sh 18 million, paid a bride price of Sh 15 million and later held a lavish wedding in Nairobi in 2015.

The duo failed to turn up in court for a ruling on whether they have a case to answer relating to the criminal charges against them.
According to the charge sheet Otieno alone has four alias names,at one time he is known as Jared Kiasa Otieno, while at other times he is known as Jared Smith Otieno but you can also call him Richard Otieno or Jared Smith Mackenzie Otieno.

On June 22,2017 when Otieno first appeared in court, he was alone charged with obtaining USD 169,000 by falsely pretending that he was in a position to ship 50 kilograms of gold from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi to Kuwait International Airport.
Later the prosecution was allowed to consolidate the cases against the Otieno and Saleh who are out bond of Sh3 million or a cash bail of sh 500,000.
The charge against the two states that on diverse dates between October 4,2015 and October 31,2016 in Nairobi county, the accused with intent to defraud obtained USD 169,000 from Mustaq Hefeji Dawood Hefeji Dawood a South Africa national by falsely pretending that he was in a position to ship 50 kilograms of gold from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi to Kuwait International Airport.
They are also alleged to have also obtained 40,500 Euros from Mohammed Imad Mokdad a South African between June 2 2017 and June 13 2017, again jointly with others not before court by using the same tricks but this time ti ship the 50 kg gold from JKIA to Beirut city in Lebanon.
Police claim that the two obtained the money jointly with suspected accomplices who are locally and international and are on the run.
Otieno and Sikanda are also facing several other criminal cases of a similar nature which are pending in other courts.

Thanks for pointing out the correction, I have edited the main heading. This guy was however killed in a very similar fashion: shot in a car under a hail of bullets. Jared Otieno and Steve Mbogo wako nyuma. Fake gold is just a no-no, it requires balls of steel.

He he he… ni kweli mtu wangu…wewe usha wahii pepetea moto ya kuchoma mahindi?

Even worse…nimeinua magunia ya kemikali kwa factory
