The Jubilee Party now wants Raila Odinga’s chief agent Musalia Mudavadi and Nasa lawyer James Orengo prosecuted for allegedly accessing IEBC servers illegally.
Jubilee Secretary-General Raphael Tuju on Friday wrote to the Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko asking him to launch investigations into how Nasa accessed IEBC server logs without permission.
He cites an August 10, 2017 letter Mr Mudavadi and Mr Orengo wrote to IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati informing him that they had “secretly and surreptitiously” obtained information on the actual presidential results in the commission using “confidential sources.”
This was a day before Mr Chebukati made the announcement, declaring President Uhuru Kenyatta the winner of the August 8 presidential election.
He also references Mr Mudavadi’s press statement issued on the same date, communicating the above information to the nation as Kenyans awaited presidential results.
He said the said information could only have been accesses illegally.
“We request your good office to expeditiously direct comprehensive investigations and prosecution if your investigations uncover sufficient evidence, pursuant to the provisions of the IEBC Act, Election Offences Act, and Communications Act, Penal Code and any other law against Hon. Mudavadi and Senior Counsel James Orengo and any other person who has anauthorised access to the IEBC servers,” reads the letter.
Next to be investigated should be the registrar for perjury and criminal acts starting from the backdating of nasa filing, and filing a one sided finding based on fake docs
They cannot be flashing stolen documents, distributing them to the media while confessing to having some deep-throats in the IEBC computer systems and at the same time accusing Jubilee of everything from killing Msando to using his hand to enter servers and inject that magical 11% formula (in truth, the gap between Uhuru and Raila ranged from 9 to 27%).
Who really had the motive to torture and kill Msando? I would say those who have been trying in all ways to take control of the IEBC’s technology.
At the same briefing, Mr. Orengo reminded some 1/2 baked-weak brained journalist that he as a lawyer is entitled to keep his sources confidential, just as journalists do when dealing with sensitive issues.
