Wadau nko na swali…nataka usaidizi… niko na Toshiba 500gb hdd but nikiconnect kwa my LG hometheatre haikuwi recognized…bt kwa LG tv inafanya without any problem… to the tech gurus shida ni gani??
Extra USB power or fat 32 file system required.
Or exFAT, will work on some tvs. Problem with FAT32 is you cant transfer single files bigger that 2GB (i think thats the max).
So if you have a 1080p movie that comes in at like 4GB you cant transfer it onto a FAT32 HDD

Would you happen to know a solution for the following issue whereby,episodes ziko na codec(i’m not sure whether thats the right term) ya .x265 wont play kwa t.v? As for .x264 ziko tu sawa whether ni mkv or mp4 file format

First check the file system. If its FAT32 then know its a power issue and not enough power is flowing from the home theater to the HDD

Unless the tv manufacturer releases an update supporting x265 huna bahati. Best option use an android box to watch those episodes using a player like vlc instead of plugging into the tv directly

Android box sounds like a good idea. Napanga kukununua a high end home theatre ama sound bars this year if all goes well. Nitauliza pia whether they support hii .x265. It seems we are heading entirely there
@Bonnie24 na @Afro wakubwa mimi what I do is very simple nmeconnect comp na tv so ata ka ni hdd ama usb I never use the tv or hometheatre kuplay instead naeka tu kwa comp na sound inatoka bado kwa hometheatre…na uzuri ya comp venye mnajua ni ati mambo ya format ooh sijui mara x264. x265. et al ukiwa na vlc is a non-issue wachana na story za maandroid box juu comp bado unaeza buy ile high end na ikuwe na gaming option plus many other things my frens
