Extra-judicial :Highly effective?

Flashback : 3 years ago, the ATPU embarked on a campaign to eliminate Muslim clerics who were preaching extremist gospel at the coast.
What followed was lots of noise, violent demos and condemnation led by our own Mungiki turned muslim @mayekeke. If I remember correctly about four of them were killed most notable of them being one Aboud Rogo.
Since then the coast specifically Mombasa and Eastleigh has not had a single explosion.its all quiet and safe.
This then implies that the Muslim clerics were responsible for radicalising Kenyans and were directly involved in organizing and maybe procuring the IEDs. This vindicated the ATPU and the elimination of the clerics was then totally justified and that when there is no way of nailing the suspects legally then targeted elimination is an effective method of securing yourself and the country
What’s you say talkers

Let bygones…

Woooooiii

Seriously? Where have you left your brain?

Hey, are you not Kenyan. I am asking whether two wrongs make a right in these case. It’s a moral and ethical question

Sorry I did not see the question. My two cents, whether to abide by the rule of the law or not is not a subject for debate.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaybe there’s a correlation. I don’t want to think there is.

Sometimes you need to circumvent to eliminate the problem - rem[SIZE=4]ember Guantanamo Bay detention camp

The law should be applied uniformly. Otherwise there should be no law so that the fittest survive. Like in Yemen/Syria. So that every individual protects him/herself from criminals and takes it upon him/herself to punish those who cross their paths.

Law creates some extent of certainty. It is a standard. Different people have things which annoy them. For example, I get really annoyed at people who spit in the streets. They should have their fingers chopped.

Unfortunately this not an ideal world.

This is not about annoyance but about survival.

Problem one is that such a strategy treats the symptoms without curing the disease. The gangs currently operating in Eastlands are more violent than their predecessors and they are not even afraid to target and kill police officers.

Problem two is that without the checks and balances of an effective judiciary, such a system is prone to abuse. Simply labelling someone a gang member or a terrorist cannot justify a death sentence.

This sums it up

The French learnt the hard way that locking up terrorists in jail will result in the conversion of criminals into terrorists which makes the situation worse, terrorism is like a cancer, you cannot tame it, kill them like docs cut out cancerous cells.

By your reasoning then the US sponsored War on Terror must be an overwhelming success!

That’s why we have laws

sometimes the best way of dealing with the cancer is to nip it by the bud , watch SICARIO te movie
