Being an in between Christian , Muslim and Godeism, I do attend all sort of churches , be it catholic, Presbyterian, quakers, 7thday, mosque , hare Krishna temple.
I realised something that’s so strange . People “supposedly” talking in tongues and talking it loud on the mic for all to hear. SHOULD it be this way? I attended this church with my family and the speakers were just right above me. When the summons was starting everything was cool mpaka wakati watu walianza kuongea in foreign languages .
So is this language :
Voluntary
2 induced
3 acquired or
4 imposed?
My family complained of headaches and ringing sounds on their ears after church.I just took one of them to see an ENT specialist. Hiyo ndio mwisho wa hiyo kanisa. But surely should it be this way ? I wondered . Rant ended
So when choosing which church to attend,do you do the pinky ponky donkey thing…or you do it raffle style and announce the winner to your subservient family?
Stick to one religion. Yesu atarudi ile siku utakuwa mosque, uachwe. Tena Mohammed arudi ile siku uko Krishna temple, uachwe tena. Finally Krishna arudi ile siku umeamua huendi kuabudu popote, uachwe na upotelee hivyo!
This form of worship doesn’t hold any water as to how Jesus peace be upon him worshiped but churches argue otherwise because the actual way Jesus worshipped is closer to how Muslims worship rendering Christianity as a religion null.
You know the famous quote, ’ worship as you have seen me worship’.
That said, speaking in tongues is just theatrics, even a normal person regardless of religion, knows it doesn’t make sense to do that or call that worship.
hata masonic temple na jehovah witness nimekanyaga . i’m always that curious na venye ina kaa i might end up picking Islam as a religion. At least their Imams aren’t as pretentious as Joel Osteen and the rest are in the name of church of Christ
my family didn’t have to go through that torture ya ringing sounds on their ears after summon. I thought people get better but ours was worse.Jana i was at a point where the straw broke the camel’s back.
Just to add on, imams lead prayer and give sermons only and all these sermons are based on the Quran and hadith.
Mosques are community ran and an imam doesn’t benefit apart from the salary that the mosques pays him.
All charities and offerings are given to the poor directly through ZAKAT and charity organizations or by self.
Islam is very clear though people like to cloud it with own opinions based on hear say.
As a Christian who follows the Bible, I find the Pauline Epistle to the church at Corinth the ultimate guide in matters of worship esp. the topic of speaking in tongues;
I respect Islam but ile siku walichomoa Bazooka na kadhalika pale Mombasa Majengo Majid Mousa mosque, during the times of the infamous MRC and Aboud Rogo, nikapata wasi wasi!
Some things people do in churches are outrightly wrong! I think that this speaking in tongue thing is just pretence. Kwetu Presbyterian church of Scotland/East Africa hakuna hiyo.
Agreed, just know one thing, anyone who comes with a group and radical ideologies, is not pushing Islam rather own agendas.
Coast is a sensitive issue… Can’t comment on that. But religion wasn’t part of the equation.
Islam has an understanding on how to conduct yourself when you’re in a secular country and how to do so if you’re in a Muslim country.
