The last 3 months, business has been very slow. I had some cash last year, but I invested in land so I was left with no cashflow. To stay afloat, I decided to look for a job. My academic qualifications are shit and I knew it would be a very long shot (graduated with a pass and was a drunkard back then). Yet. somehow, after a face to face interview, some madam hired me in her firm pale Westlands. The job is easy, and I have no problem professionally…but she seems to pick a fight with any female colleague I appear to get cozy with. At first I thought it was all on my mind, but I have proved it. Just the other day, she invited me at a five star hotel to talk about serious business…only for the talk to be meaningless…honestly, there is nothing she wouldnt have told me in her office. Considering that I am broke and seriously need the cash, how do you deal with such a boss? I need the job and the only way to keep it is to remain professional…I am not certain where professionalism will take me because rumors spread in the office and some females have started avoiding me already:mad:…It is like I have a big label “look but dont touch” from La Jefe herself. Damn!

My problem is that I cant get close with any female colleague because the boss is watching…we are only three men in the firm and the two others are old consultants who report part time only when needed. As of now, I am the only full time male employee…among 11 ladies. If every lady avoids me, that is a disaster…cant you see. Basically, how do I communicate to the boss that her attitude is making me lose comradeship with coworkers? As of now, no coworker wants a chat longer than 5 minutes with me in the office…reason “utanifutisha kazi”

I dont have the luxury to choose jobs now @Guru . I am even lucky enough to get hired but the boss is making things harder with colleagues by treating anyone who comes close very coldly. I have been iced.

She is the Rubadiri type…independent, mid thirties…but I am not interested in her anyway, not in that way. However, I can’t come out clean that I am not interested in her, because of the job…since I dont know her intentions, I cant be direct…because if she is interested, she will have no reason to have me around if I reject any advances outright. It is a difficult position. The ladies I would genuinely be interested in are too scared to even have a chat in the office. Anyway, this is going to be a very long year for me…but I hope the cash will be worth it.

Look. If you don’t play ball she’ll get rid of you. Those workmates aren’t paying your salary and there are still about 4billion chics on earth minus those. So if your boss wants a nyaf, give it to her and make sure its damn good. That way you get to survive at least a year as you get something else.

The only problem is that she is my boss…that is a very big complication to someone who is genuinely interested in saving his broke situation. Any other time, I would have banged her like the typical alfa male and called it a day. Mixing business with honey is a nasty cocktail…I have been down this alley before, and I know where it gets you when you bang your boss. I dont want to make the same mistake again:eek:
