Finally

Finally ndakaini imefikia 90% atleast let the purge continue may be hata hii baridi itapungua

Ndakaini is located in a high cliff at par with Aberdare. Rivers flow down south leaving only four tributaries to flow into Ndakaini. The disadvantage here is that water level has to raise sufficiently to get the same tributaries flowing to fill Ndakaini. That has happened. Most of Aberdare water flowed south quickly bypassing this elevated dam. However its elevation has an advantage, its based in a cool and moist area which means it doesn’t lose surface water to evaporation. 30% of its capacity can serve Nairobi for a year. Had it been in the south then it could lose 20% from evaporation from the sun. Aberdare forest helps it alot. The rains might have stopped but the water level continues to rise therefore the water continues to flow. In two weeks it will be full.

sasa rationing will stop immediately

Don’t hold your breath. JICA said we need to redo the entire Nairobi water and sewerage network to finally guarantee constant water in Nairobi. This is now being planned in phases since that amount is huge.
