Fuel VAT tax 16%

Starting September 1. Ksh 132 per litre of petrol and Ksh 103 for diesel. Forget about personal cars where fuel consumption is a non-issue because personal cars are a luxury. People in the transport sector will feel this one because the ga’ament has squeezed their balls properly. Matatu’s, taxis, lorry za logistics, bodabodas, moving companies etc. The unfortunate thing about transport, especially human transport, is that the competition is so stiff that it is almost impossible to increase fares even when the fuel cost rises. Investors in the transport sector will continue being taxed disproportionately because the main input is the government’s favorite target. Fuel=balls of the economy.

I thought Uhuru was advised not to take the $1.5 billion by CBK governor which was the source of all these interest rates on fuel by the IMF??

This country is now worse than Somali.

We are loosing kshs1.2 billion each week in untaxed goods through KPA, but the only good thing our economists know is raising taxes and fucking. Uhuru as i said earlier has a diploma in political science. Lugha anajua ni madeni tu.

Matatu za Mwiki fare wata hike tu, apan tambua competition.

When was the last time you used a matatu ? Hao jamaa can easily increase fares, kushukisha ndio shida. I’m not talking about peak & offpeak hours fluctuation here.

never pity kenyans, whats hard about parking cars at uhuru highway, kwa jam, for 30 minutes? this will cause a massive gridlock in the city and will send a serious statement to the authorities. kenyans just need to disrupt the flow of traffic at the city for 30 minutes.

Aty?..we need a Bob Wine who will just lead a simple protest which can end up with a revolution. Hawa washienz wametuzoea. You can’t even compare the cost of living in Kenya and States.

jamaa ni yule yule. you cannot support a person that doesnt care alafu munaanza kulia hapa. nyinyi ktalkers kwanza more than 70 percent supported re-election despite the poor governance. the guy has destroyed the government and the fuel price hike is a desperate measure to save the government. Vile tu huambiangi watoto mbona hakuna nyama ikifika 20th january because you fckd up…

These are the buffoons who get to decide on fuel/energy prices:
