Here is the future…
We have traveled to 2084 in Africa, and here is what we’ve seen.
In 2080, malaria has been eradicated in most of the African continent. The population has grown to 3 billion 200 millions, and most of the countries became prosperous with megacities like Lagos, Luanda, Nairobi, Accra, Abidjan, etc.
The Chinese immigration to Africa had doubled everywhere year since 2018, reaching 300 millions Chinese living on the continent by 2065.
Europeans immigration to the continent was however the most important reaching 400 millions Europeans Iiving in Africa in 2075, peaking exponentially from a mere 8 millions in 2018.
The Europeans are well integrated economically but live separated in gated communities from the local populations. They are highly influential and own, like in South Africa today, most of the industries, banks, hotels and services companies in Africa.
Asked to explain that massive immigration, the Oracle of Tado, Mr Mawuna, said, ‘we have seen it coming all. By 2008, unemployment was dramatically rising in Europe and opportunities for economical growth were very little. However, the European governments had backed and encouraged their small firms and big corporations to invest in Africa, as all growth opportunities were there.’
‘Get me right’ continued Mr Mawuna, ‘those European governments used public funding to help those companies to go international, but over the years those corporations became reluctant to pay taxes in their home countries. In order to avoid the huge corporate taxes necessary in Europe to assist the 70% elderly and 50% youth unemployment, the corporations slowly start moving their headquarters to Africa instead.
‘In 2018 only 2% of European companies had headquarters in Africa, but leading to 2035, 95% of big European companies had moved their headquarters to Africa. Some kept only marginal activities in Europe but actively encouraged immigration of their qualified workforce to Africa. Furthermore, they have robotized most of their production in Europe due to high wages and constant strikes demanding raise of salaries.
The sudden and steep decrease in corporate taxes in Europe, coupled with increased automation, led to massive unemployment in most of the European countries. The only hope for Europeans is to migrate.
A poll done in 2031 showed that 78% Europeans want to immigrate and their top destination was Africa.
African governments saw those changes in fortune favorably but have to face growing instability and rise of criminality. Local population resent the Europeans immigrants and demand seizure of their assets.
In the same time, the European governments were under steady pressure to act to defend western civilisation, and deal with wild capitalism. Inequality had reached medieval levels, and far right parties were in power in almost all European countries.
Then something happens.
In 2083, the visiting president of Côte d’Ivoire to France was assassinated by the Calais right wing movement ‘Shit it’.
In response to the assassination, 15 000 French citizen were massacred in one day in Abidjan, and most Europeans have to run into the bushes to hide in order to escape death.
In retaliation, the French army used a bio-weapon called ‘Sapiens-11’ on the local population of Côte d’Ivoire. 85 millions people died during the next few days, not only in Côte d’Ivoire, but in neighboring countries like Ghana. The French troops invaded the country.
The French massive extermination of Africans and subsequent invasion escalated events. More and more Europeans are attacked in many parts of Africa and killed in mass.
The events that followed sealed the destiny of the black continent.
After the events in Côte D’Ivoire the American government condemned the French radical move but saw there an opportunity to test their own bio-weapon ‘N-zero’. They used 100 stealth advanced bombers to drop 100,000 N-Zero bombs on Nigeria. This was on October 15, 2035. Two days later 92% of native Nigerians were killed. Only Europeans and quadroons survived the bombs.
Germany, Israel, Great Britain, Russia, China all saw what is going, and acted fast to seize territories.
Disputes of right to territories arose subsequently. France called a conference in Paris to settle those disputes.
From the Paris conference, a new Africa emerged as we have now. From 56 countries we now have only 12 countries, and are mostly inhabited by Europeans and Asians.
By 2085, black population of Africa was estimated only to 7% in West Africa and a little more, 12%, in East-southern Africa.
