Galaxy Note 4 Battery Problem

Have had a note 4 for around a year,i notice that when i charge the phone it stops charging at maximum 85%, when i remove the battery and reinsert it,it reads 100%,and the next charge will go to 100%,subsequent charges reverts to 85%,could the issue be the phone or battery and will replacing a new battery solve the issue, wanted to be sure before spending cash to buy or fix the issue

note 4s have that batter issue after a period of time .I just supplied a company 5 batteries last week
…they ordered 7 fones but after sometime 5 need new batteries

The company ordered Galaxy note 4 in 2017???
Si ungewauzia Note 5 ama S7 edge

@YuleMseeMbaya phone ikikaa 2 years pop a new battery to it

Hii yako ni kama battery inachapa. Kawaida phone hucharge hadi 100% na kama haujatoa it stops charging on its own. Background processes will use power hadi ifike like 95% or 92% hapo then phone recharges itself till it gets to 100, stops charging ad infinitum hadi you unplug it. Thats why sometimes you unplug unatumia kiasi then simu inaandika ama inadrop from 100 to 95.

Do a battery calibration but you need to be rooted and dont leave your phone kwa charger for long.

I supplied them early 2015

Now who’s right here.
Both of your comments conflict each other.

I agree with @D… Mungai on calibrating battery but I disagree with him on the leaving the phone on the charger for long. Phones are intelligent and will control itself just like I said

ooooh 20015 to 17 new bats sioni if ni shida, hata mimi after 2 years would change batts

@Deorro the problem with leaving the phone kwa charger sana is not overcharging as the phones are smartphones but is heat emitted while charging… Number killer of Lion Batteries is heat. Thats why even fast charging capabilities is not the best coz simu hushika moto saana.

Where is this heat generated from yet phone shuts down the charging on it’s own when it gets to 100

Tecno c8 with 3000mah, power to the people! Hii opus huwesona

Just start saving money for a new batt…the one you have is kaputt
