Good slasher movies

Used to be a big fan of saw, nightmare on elm, spit on your grave and saw. Do they still make such?

movies are either low budget crap or big budget blockbusters like avengers. Very little thatā€™s good in between. I keep going back movies like Jeepers Creepers because thereā€™s nothing else now.

Iā€™m not quite sure how I feel about ā€œIt Followsā€. Watched it this weekend.

It Follows was quasi-scary for me, especially the weirdly big guy but I wouldnā€™t watch it again.

:D:D:D They got me because they didnā€™t use too many effects. The movies where they keep the theatrics to the minimum usually leave me with that uneasy feeling which should be the aim of literally any horror movie.

I also liked ā€œThe Skeleton Keyā€ for the same reason. Every time I watch it, I feel like Iā€™m inviting witchcraft into my life and I end up watching it with ALL the lights on and a heavy blanket covering my entire body up to my eyes and my finger on the ā€œcallā€ button to my bff in case anything happens!!!

Big franchises like marvel or dc comics have the budget for even their crappiest of productions. Watched a very nice movie the other day rated G staring Samuel L. Jackson , Big Game- 2014. No hype no shit, think it might be a home video entertainment though.

If a movie is really scary Iā€™ll end up sleeping the whole week with the lights on. Thereā€™s a movie I watched in some years ago that really got to me. It was about these shadow mashetani which if they catch you, you disappear. I donā€™t even want to duck it, that thing really got to me. You go to the toilet and pee standing beside the bowl because you donā€™t want your back to the door.

Iā€™m irrationally angry and disappointed with Olivia Wilde. I was ready to take her seriously-ish after ā€œThird Personā€ but Iā€™m done with her after the nonsense that was ā€œThe Lazarus Effectā€.

Actors and actresses should never complain about being typecast if they agree to appear in roles which pigeon-hole them. She should just stick with the ā€œhot girlā€ roles because its all sheā€™s good for :frowning:

If Samuel L Jackson or Maryanne Moore or Liam Neeson is in a movie, i donā€™t even have to check IMDB to see the ratings. Itā€™s just good.

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D when I was a kid, I watched ā€œJawsā€ and was so scared of water!!! I didnā€™t play in puddles (which is literally all kids had before playstation and xbox) for like a year. I thought a shark was in every fluid/liquid around me. EVEN TEA WAS A THREAT!

All the reasons why I do not watch scary movies. And they get to me. Why watch a movie n ā€˜sleep with one eye openā€™ for the next 27 hours. Stephen King mwenyewe ni ngumu kumsoma movie ndo nitaangalia? Give me thrillers, conspiracies etc

I love those movies. The Evil Dead, I still know what you did last summer. I get scared a little but I later laugh at the experience. Ainā€™t they just movies? Did anyone watch the Omen movies and their remake?

we are talking about slasher movies here not the exorcism of Emily Rose!

They were supposed to have part three of that movie, I donā€™t know why they didnā€™t make it. And the concept that the creeper only comes out to eat after 21 years didnā€™t make sense to me but it was definitely a good movie, by the way Jason, and Texas chainsaw massacre were not bad also.

Watch drag me to hellļæ¼ļæ¼ļæ¼:D you will sleep with all the lights on.
