A warrant of arrest has been issued against Nyongo and his sister Rispah for their inability to honor court summons. Both were sued by their nephews over exclusion from the senior Nyongo’s vast estate (valued at over 200m)
This case is interesting. The governor and his sister Rispah are VERY wealthy people by any measurement. Further, the governor has a history of fighting social injustice, and actually went into exile in Mexico for several years when Moi could not stand his balls over the matter. What kind of social justice was the governor fighting for, if there is no justice on the home front? If I was the governor, I would also worry about having such issues in his dossier knowing that he is the father of Lupita. Her kind of fame can be destroyed by the fickle temperament of players in the show business
I don’t therefore understand why they would begrudge their less fortunate relatives a cut of senior Nyongo’s vast empire. Equally puzzling also is the reluctance of the Kisumu police to arrest the two out of fear of social unrest from such a deed. Are Kisumu people this naive?

this is the problem we have with Kenya.
i propose an independent (seriously independent) judicial enforcement wing (JEW :D:D), whose job it will be to enforce court orders especially arrests. they should be armed and ready to take on the body guards of senior officials should they fail to comply.
Why would you do certain things to your own family and blood man ? think about it , in kenya , people not withing mount kenya region have a sort of pettiness and counter productive customs and deeds !

Nyongo has in the past presented himself as the champion of the down trodden. Kumbe this was just an illusion.
On a wider note, the people of Nyanza seem to have a high tolerance for mediocrity and plain crime from their leaders. But they are particularly loud in calling out similar weaknesses in leaders from other regions. On mediocrity, Orengo (for example) has done totally nothing for Ugenya (as MP for over 15 years) and now Siaya (as senator). He has no development record. Not even a dog market or pit latrine. The same applies to almost 90 percent of current and previous MPs from the region. On plain crime, Obado (for example) ordered the killing of someone’s precious daughter in plain sight. But he is still held in very high regard by the people of Homa Bay, and is now a faithful disciple of Nyanza’s “Grand Mullah of Poverty” And now Kisumu residents are ready to throw stones if their almighty Nyongo is arrested for disobeying a court order. What a terribly convoluted mindset!!!
I said Nyongo ni meffi kitambo sana.He’s basically denying his brother to inherit his fare share from the fathers estate.Kwani who is Nyongo to make such judgements on that which he doesn’t own? As i said earlier if the old man never wrote a will,he simply wanted natural inheritance law to take course otherwise if he was really bitter with any of his offsprings he would have excluded them through a written will kitambo sana.

Kisumu County Commander Benson Maweu has said police have been deployed “in strategic points" ready to arrest Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o.
The Governor has however been going about his official duties as usual despite the warrant of arrest issued against him on Thursday.
High Court Justice Tripsisa Cherere ordered that Prof Nyong’o and his sister Risper Nyagoy be detained for defying court orders in the multimillion-shilling estate inheritance row pitting them against their nephews.She further directed Mr Maweu to execute the arrests.
By the time of going to press Friday, Prof Nyong’o was officiating the Joan School of Nursing graduation ceremony at Alva Resort in Chulaimbo, Kisumu West sub-county.
