If it’s a hobby go ahead, kama ni kujitegemea just buy a solar panel and an inverter plus a battery pack otherwise utakuwa unawaste pesa. Designing an alternator isn’t suitable for small scale applications if you don’t have reliable speed in your prime mover. You have to be close to a waterfall or have good speed winds. There’s so much to consider.

Why do that? it is similar to what you find mated to engine in small generators. it corrects its voltage output to DC-12V or DC-24. Ile ya generator itakupatia 240V ac directly and its cheaper.

@Afro the only reason you mostly see it in sub engines is because the EJ sub engines place the alternator hapo juu. otherwise all conventional cars have them.
