I just think it’s a cultural thing. They complain that there aren’t enough toilets but I think even if more toilets were built they wouldn’t necessarily pay to use them. As an investor, you respond to demand, so it’s queer that no one is taking advantage of this phenomenon to invest in more toilets.

In Africa we have sanitation issues due to poverty, India rank number one in shitting on the streets even though she is way more prosperous than many African states. There are cases in India where instead the public toilets helping to solve their sanitation problems, they exacerbate the problem. To the raia the public toilet is a landmark of a designated shitting street/field. Shida ni their culture, traditionally to them its unclean to have a toilet in a home.
