[SIZE=5]Ngoja uskie the voice of Rumuruti…

When I was a student at Rumuruti Mixed Boarding Preparatory Primary School my biggest dream was to be an erectrician who flies from a helicopter.

As @yunomi I did not achieved this dream but I am okay today as a farmer. Here in Rumuruti my guafas are doing well, replenished by the warm summer winds and cool winter nights.

My Moso Bamboo seeds, trees, shoots, saprings, graftings and prunings are taller than ever even though Ichaweri dynasty has refused to purchase.

Ichaweri dynasty continues to torture us and has become a thorn in the side of his Excerency Samoei Ruto but me and my rover Jemimah Kamande we continue to pray that Ruto wins and BBI remains not muhimu. I did not make 20 thousand as agreed last year due to cofid. This year we will cerebrate underneath the cool shadow of our Moso bamboo crop, enjoying our ugari ad sukuma wiki while ristening to warm words from our beroved Dp Ruto. After supper I will take my lover Jemimah into the inner chamber and give her sexual intercourse three times.

I think she will like it.

Yours in communication MCA mtarajiwa @Yunomi AKA @BBIsiMuhimu AKA Headmaster. Turus. Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year!

Kenya is actually (maybe) doing this. This is second hand information from a staff member wa KPLC

There’s a school where KPLC trains it’s special team of aerial technicians. These guys are said to be able to repair components of a substation without shutting it down. Pia these aerial repairs.

Could have been propaganda.

Kenya Power has received funding from the World Bank for a project worth KSh2 billion.
The funds are meant to support their live line maintenance programme that seeks to reduce planned electricity shutdowns, enhance the stability of power supply and improve revenue generation.

The firm will use the funds to procure additional insulated trucks, tools & accessories. Kenya Power will also use the funds to train staff in live line maintenance techniques and establish a laboratory for testing live line equipment.

Kenya Power staff during maintenance

The company recently launched the live line maintenance programme after a successful pilot phase. The pilot phase has been in place since 2016.
During the period, the company trained more than 70 staff to carry out maintenance of live power lines. 8 insulated trucks and 3 digger derricks were also available during the phase.

To date, a total of 144 live line maintenance staff have been trained. This brings the total number of live line staff to more than 200.
The company flagged off 24 additional trucks to all Kenya Power’s operational regions across the country during the launch ceremony.
“The Company is focused on the provision of quality power supply by strengthening electricity network and streamlining internal processes so as to improve customer experience and stakeholder confidence,” Jared Othieno, the acting Managing Director pointed out.
