Headlight restoration

Talkers, I live in a small town where I’ve noticed several cars with fading headlights. I’ve asked around and it seems there’s no one doing the headlight restoration thing in this town. I’m thinking of the possibility of trying to make an extra coin with this opportunity. Anyone with info on?

1.Tools, equipment and materials needed
2. Where to source for them.
3. What I need to know.

Which town is that? So that I beat you to your market.

buy kit. 20k or so. after scrubbing the oxidised coating on polycarbonate headlamp off, you must apply a new coat. you need the coating kit. otherwise the lamp will be worse.

Where can I get the kit?

There is the kit it might be cheaper though. when they first arrived that was the going price. the kit is actually for vapourising the polyurethane final coat on the headlamp. other methods such as spraying clearcoat or waxing are less than desirable.

Baking soda mixed with white vinegar worked well for me. Finish off with wax.
