A good friend of mine is looking for a solution to his sleep problems. He snores loudly and is very restless when he sleeps, always waking up with a headache and tiredness. Sometimes he even snores when he is awake slightly.
We lived in a bungalow together last year and I could hear his snores all the way from the living room downstairs.
He has recently told me it’s getting worse and he thinks he has OSA.
Can anyone recommend a good but not too expensive clinic in Nairobi he can visit for treatment? Anyone who also knows a sleep study professional or clinic who can help?
It’s a serious problem and impacting on his daily mood as he is always irritable and easily angered.
Mind you he does not drink alcohol before bed, but he is a bit heavy weighing about 85-95 kg when we last checked.
Are you always this stupid when you decide to comment on a thread?
You read the entire post and and your small brain only picked up an insignificant part of the narrative?
Shows how much of a dirty mind you have.
Your the kinda person who takes photos of a sinking car rather respond to the plea of help.

Pls go and see an ENT specialist. Try Dr Macharia Muthure. Don’t have his details but googled and this came up. https://www.nairobientclinic.com/ He ain’t cheap but don’t think you want anyone to mess with your sensory organs, so jitayarishe mfuko. He has treated/operated many people that I know. Gudluck.
The gold standard test for diagnosing OSA is a polysomnograph study, aka a sleep study test. However, a STOP bang questionnaire is a quick, noninvasive way to gauge the presence and severity of sleep apnea. http://www.stopbang.ca/translation/pdf/caeng.pdf
Usually, at least where I live, neurologists carry out this test. The most common surgery done to treat sleep apnea is called UPPP (Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty). It works only 50% of the time. Your best bet in terms of treatment is weight loss and wearing a Cpap or bipap machine at night.
