@Deorro & other IT gurus here, I urgently need some help. I have a laptop that uses Windows 10 that has totally refused to successfully boot beyond the password interface. Jana mimi na ufala mob I downloaded some software that I think had a virus and since I shut it down jana, I’ve been unsuccessful in using it. What might be the problem and how do I solve it?

If it needs formating, how can I instal Linux Mint coz that’s the OS I have at the moment? Najua Linux needs Windows for successful installation, so I am just curious.

you don’t need windows to install linux distros, you can install them the same way you install windows.

have you tried booting to safe mode or system restore to a day before the problem occured?

If you have the windows 10 disk,try boot with it and look for option of restoration

I had been having the same issue with my laptop. Here’s my kienyeji way of sorting it out every time it happens.
Let the laptop boot kawaida until it gets to the blank screen. Then shut it (like close it the way you would if someone walked in on you while watching adult movies) and it will immediately go to hibernation mode. Leave it for a few hours in that state and after a while it will completely shut down on its own.
Once this has been done, boot it kawaida and viola…your login screen will be back.
