HELP>>> NSS channels have dissapeared

After enjoying local channels on NSS 6 plus movies on Star + channels for a day, they have dissapeared. i have Nilesat but the other one is nowhere to be seen. it says ‘weak signal’… what other alternatives do i have for movies? i have two dishes of 90. one for Nilesat anf the other one for the failed NSS 6. What options do i have in Kenya that i can get on the other dish with KU band lnb?

I don’t understand, what’s the location of nss 6?
Local channels were on abs3@3w but they went $$$ two days ago.
You can get them on 70e including utugi tv

sadly i dont know how to tell you the location… am trying to upload a screenshot file but its not working

i guess its that one which went $$$ two days ago… what i have is NSS 6 (95E). The transponder is 0/V/27500/3/4. is that of any help to you in knowing the location?

You just scanned your decoder on the 95e sat while your dish was pointed to abs3@3e.
Now turn your dish to the east and hunt for the sat at 70e and get all the local channels minus citizen

Ok. Thanks for that @meria. What other good sats can i get on the east side when i change the dish to face that side? reason for that being i have a FTA T2 decoder. i want to maximise on the FTA S2 signals. i have a 90 dish trained on Nilesat in the west… what options do i have on the East side that i can maximise on for movies, series, documentaries etc?

For the best experience, lots of movie channels, documentaries and sports including epl you need a 6 ft dish and an openbox v7 decoder.
The sats are is20@68e, apstar@75e and nss12@57e. That’s to say you will have 3 lnbs.
You will need a pro to do the installation.
Gojea @Luther12 akuwekee mbisha ya setup

Try ses5@5e

Thanks alot for that @Meria Mata. i will try it out and get back to you with the results in the course of the week.

The dish size you have is woefully insufficient for what you want. With that, you’ll have to be satisfied with Nilesat and Eutelsat 70B.

However, here’s a setup you’ll wanna consider once you get a bigger dish:

That’s A-7, IS-20, NSS-12 combination, all C-band.

what’s the price of c-band LNB?

BETWEEN 1500 AND 1800 DEPENDING ON SHOP

Thanks for that. Naona hiyo combination ya 3 LNBs iko poa after kuona channels kwa lyngsat.

By the way, if you live near a cellphone tower or if there’s one within about 200m of where you wanna do an FTA set-up, be careful about the brand of LNB that you buy coz of interference. Most recommended is Pauxis (costs approx. 2k) followed by Eurostar ES-21 Plus. The rest will not be able to isolate such interference.

thanks for the heads up. FTA sio FTA tu… am learning alot from you guys before i take the big plunge.

It depends with what you want to watch, First there is NSS 12 which has Kenyan channels, ie K24, KTN and KTN News, Utugi etc, Nilesat 102/201 & Eutelsat 7 West A at 7.0°W has CNN, Aljazeera and Aljazeera America, BBC World, France24, CCTV, Bein Sports and movie channel MBC 2 and MBC Max, you may consider also SES 5 has RT, France 24, DW, CCTV, I24 NEWS, have a nice hunting
