"hio kutembea yote tutaweza ?"

#1
Sio CBD pekee yake itafaidika. Pia watu watasaidika. Nmeona mtu akilia ati, "ngaaai, hio kutembea yote tutaweza ?". Hio kutembea Itasaidia sana. Kama venye kula kuku na viazi karai inasaidia tumbo. juzi nimesongeza kiti kwa nyumba handkerchief ikalowa jasho hata kabla sijakisongeza mita mbili. Watu watembee, Watu wasweat kidogo wapanguze makeup.

A few years ago there was a directive to do away with 14 seaters..i have no idea who reversed that order.
Sonko's directive is a good start but he should have also targeted a reduction in private cars getting into the CBD...he should begin with a dedicated lane for buses..its the easiest and fastest way, followed by trams etc

Yup, CBD needs more public transport and less personal cars. Mzigo wa basi moja ni kama sedan 50 considering most drive around with just the driver.

It's a crap idea rushed and not well thought out, a better proposal would have been to initiate circular matatu routes in town where matatus get in and out without parking or turning.
Matatus entering from Globe roundabout to go through Tom Mboya picking and dropping passengers and exit through Race course road, Desai road and Pangani.
Matatus entering through Landhies road to go through Haile Selassie picking and dropping passengers and exit through Uhuru highway and onwards to Mombasa , Lang'ata and Lusaka roads.
Matatus from Ngong road to Railway terminus picking and dropping passengers without parking and exit through Haile Selassie.
That's a better and implementable solution, the traffic cops have only to make sure matatus are constantly moving.

Mnadhani KRA itapataje ushuru (customs duty)? There however are no new 14-seaters licensed for city routes, only upcountry.
