I think the concept has been there. I don’t know to what extent it’s been utilized but if you think of the variations. There’s the being buzzed into apartments. Once the person confirms they know who you are they press a buzzer and the door hold ceases. Giving you a chance to open it. Same thing could be applied here.

As someone who has been run up on kwa gate and I know that’s a serious target point for robbers since you’ve stopped moving. This gate is too slow. You’ll enter and the thieves will enter with you.
