The Dj-ing part of Homeboys is a drop in the water compared to everything else that they do.
Shida ya Dj-ing si ati ni upus, ni low barriers of entry (all one needs is a laptop and an internet connection ie almost everyone with a SoundCloud account believes they are a Dj), and in this day and age, it’s also less skill based and more popularity based eg DJ Kalonje. So hakuna pesa hapo any more except for the few who’ll stand out.
That said, good DJs are still so hard to come across.

Homeboys took almost ten years to get a frequency outside Nairobi, na its Eldoret of all places. NRG new kids on the block, barely a year have frequencies allover.
