Honda fit

Can this car do long distance drives, like from Nairobi to Mombasa on an occasional basis, or is it just a town car. Need it as my first car, but would like to hear from owners before going for it. Mimi ni mkulima mdogo, mfuko yangu inafika hapo

Can a BBW ride it for more than 10 minutes?

Hapo kwa long distance ndio umekosea. Any vehicle can do long distance. Hapo kwa ukulima ndio unafaa kuulizia…nunua tu pick up.

Get yourself a Mazda Axela. I’ll do a review about my experience soon.

Maintain and treat it well and it will be good to you. If you can’t don’t buy a car.
Before going on any trip, an oil change and service is important.

Hapana. Multipurpose vehicle.

mkulima mdogo has nothing to do with farming

Say what?

as has been mentioned as long as its in good condition it should do that distance without issue

for that distance get a 1.8L axela so something that can really cruise.

Hakuna Axela 1.8l. Comes as 1.5, 2.0 and 2.3 variants

You want to say every time you plan a trip you must change your oil and do service? Enyewe hapa iko mbirrionares. Mimi huenda shagz almost kila weekend for the last 9 or so years na sijawahi fanya hii maneno. Labda just checking tyre pressure coz service is usually due after specified interval…5k kms, 7k kms etc.

How many kilometres? Shags can be as close as a kilometre to as far as 1000 kilometres.

hehe. lets just say 300kms ni mingi one way

You dont need to do service, oil change etc before going long distance. Just stick to oil change intervals. What most people dont realize is that driving long distance is actually much easier on a car than doing the equivalent distance say within town. Its normally said that something like 200km long distance driving is equivalent to 20kms town driving when it comes to car maintenance. This is because on long distance, you tend to travel at a constant speed for long periods. Town driving your always start-stopping, continually shifting gears, braking alot of the time, your radiator fan comes on/off alot etc.

Depends on the daily mileage you put in on your car though.

Everyone knows how and what they put their cars through.
It’s good to go through a minor service.

Yes you can . Hoping you haven’t installed spacers, stiff springs and some fat oversize tyres.
