Hehehe, reminds me when i was a civil servant. I could use ms publisher to make look alike receipts of good hotels in Nairobi or for any fake purchases, colour print on that carbon copy paper of a normal cash sale receipt books and tear it using the edge of a hacksaw. Comes out cleanly just like any other genuine receipt.

All is well until the accounts/audit dept guys call the hotel/shop to confirm that the receipts are genuine. The hotel/shop would be asked to confirm the receipt number and amount. Many people have been busted.
Not government auditor then stationed in the DC’s treasury who could even be your drinking buddy.

These days they also demand ETR receipt attached to hotel receipt. Someone was sacked when taxi receipt was audited. The car registration number belonged to a dead parked lorry .
kama ni NGOs and civil service hakuna shida…just make sure you never use non-existing hotels…use existing ones, toa kitu kidogo and let them sign blank receipt…unajaza the amount…even top NGO coordinators fake a lot of documents and send to donors outside Kenya…ukikosa kula, huko juu wanakula mbaya mbaya

These days government does not ask for accommodation receipts. There is a fixed nightout allowance whether you slept in a dungeon or Sankara
Some donor funded projects don’t pay per night out but pay full board accommodation and air tickets. You sleep like a king with no cash.
