3m for a gated hao in naks aint that bad

The bubble should burst kabisa. It was bound to happen!!

The last clause on Germany and sq metres was that not on Baba’s manifesto but it was turned into a political issue.

You do know some of us are not that idle, we don’t have time to go through all posts. Anyway thanks for pointing that out.

From my experience ( and I am not a ktalk birrionaire), for any family or person to progress towards financial freedom and prosperity, one needs a house…a home one can call his or her own. Rental expenditure for a home in the long run isn’t the best solution especially if one plans to reside in a particular are for long or permanently. Mambo ni kuweka pride aside, kuanza mdogo mdogo kutafuta ideal and affordable land…jenga pigsty na utokane na rent…as you save more, build your dream home.

With all the land still available in nakuru? Mjamaa

naks around town ama

Let me put this issue to rest from my own experience.
At home we have 6 acres of land, including uncles wawili, guka na mum. Half of it it’s rentals, the other half coffee na little Napier grass.
Only me defied to build rentals and did farming to feed the tenants. It was all good until karatina University was opened and the market was full of demand, people including dad took loans and built more and as soon as you did plastering they were all booked.
Unfortunately even those who live kilometers from town were doing the same and so was the campus building hostels for their students. And the bubble bursted.
Now you can get a 2 bedroom house with one kilometer radius from karatina market for as low as 6k.

I thought you could read the comments there and be your own judge. Wasn’t trying to measure the level of your idleness. Stop having emotions I say

Na vile nilikuwa nimepanga kujenga pigsty rentals pale Karindundu ati juu ya watoto wa Karatina University.

Mimi nilijenga bedsitter pigsty pale kabete " pesa" ati juu ya bcom students the return are less than impressive, real estate siwezi guza ,never again.

Waah! Naeza taka kuona vile izo 2bdr zinakaa…

Zinatoshana aje?
Rent ni howmuch?

You can still build but have them highly differentiated to suit students.

Bought a house along mombasa road (wont say where) because i have a family coming soon.the estate was built by chinese…the houses are too many and in my building ni mimi tu nimenunua nyumba.alafu we down at the corner. The apartment are too many.very few tenants.thinking of renting a house tena…the lonliness and creepyness is too much…

To add on, the salaries in Kenya are very low. If one earns about 60k after tax, to live in a good neighborhood you will need to part starting with about 25k for a two bedroom.
Whatever is left is very little to get by hence avoiding paying rent becomes the only option.

That’s greatwall area. Are they as tiny inside as I saw the first the initial phase?

If you pass by Riara, kilimani you will notice a lot of expensive apartments some still coming up and they are very much empty.
However on the other side of town things are different, a developer I know is finishing up his 27 single room houses this month and half have been booked, this is in Kabiria and rent is 5k
