How do i prepare for retirement?

Dear good people.I am employed…almost 40 with two kids.I have a job with a net of 350k.I am.looking for ideas on how to invest to secure my childrens future as jobs dont last.Kindly give m’e ideas.note…A side biz not viable as my job is so busy plus motherhood

Rentals… 1bedroom na 2bedroom

Are you married?

Kwani unataka kumwoa?

Are you living in your own house? Do you have a farm or a successful business?

Build your own house. Start saving your money in hedge fund or money market or government bonds. If you save 100k per month. In one year is 1.2m if any of those trust fund get you 10% that’s 120k per year. In 15 year utakuwa na 18 m saving pekee. Ukicalculate interest when retired you will getting almost 2m profit. Wachana na rental hio ni kusumbuana na peasant.

Very true

120k per year or per month

No i dont live in my house i still rent yo be close to work however i have a two bd in p’angani that gives m’e a side income of 35k

This is so good.Thank you for the excellent insight

Rentals and building dont you need quite a lot of money for this? Kindly correct m’e if am wrong but i appreciate all of you advising a hardworking mum

Follow your passion and invest in it. You will never be disappointed hata ukiwa 6ft down

My passion Will be anything thats wise , an investment that can grow my income to enable my kids a good future…and myself a quiet No stress retirement

You have a good salary according to Kenyan standards. Follow what @Wanaruona has advised you up there. But also start a business eg dairy farm or greenhouse or any other that you can start small and grow big. Also live within your means. Avoid extravagance or taking your kids to high cost schools for show off. Remember you have only two decades to your retirement

There is one question that you’ve ignored hapo juu

Thank you all am glad i joined this great blog for great minds…each of you deserve a bag of pure mogoka from my home district of Mbeere…its a sign of respect.

There is a lady I know from Mbeere. A brown chic called Mathagu.

Note it’s 120k per year

Per year.

Count yourself lucky. Salary ya 350k kwa mwezi only less than 5% of the employed get that. Nipatie ideas on how to get a job kama hiyo.
My opinion would still be rentals.
