Its true his position at State House has never changed despite many rumours to wish its not. Maybe now it will change but I doubt. Dennis Itumbi has fortunately/unfortunately seen things that remains in-house. They don’t know how it will go if relations go completely sideways. For this and other stories the DCI requests 14 days custody of the accused to “launch” investigation into the matter.

Yaani DCI yote none has thought the simple first thing is to call the purported letter author and ask if its true or not??? They fear that if the person says yes then they have to shift attention back to the accused. That’s not part of the cover up.
Forget the letter, this thing started when DP Uncle Ruto told his boss of this assassination plan and he asked DCI to investigate the claim. The letter just gave names to the accused and indeed they were summoned and showed up. When DCI reports back. They will either say its upuzi case closed or yeah we need to look at this or that. Then DP Uncle Ruto will decide whether other materials will be released or not. Its a waiting game. Let everyone go on record what they said and did so that mbele usiruke.

Former State House Director of Digital Communications Dennis Itumbi has been arrested.
Itumbi was arrested today at City Hall, Nairobi by investigators probing the alleged plot to assassinate Deputy President William Ruto that has pushed political temperatures to a new high.
Itumbi now works at the office of Deputy President as the secretary for digital communications.
He is currently being questioned at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters on Kiambu Road.
