Because the plan is for Nairobi to be controlled by NMS and fall under National government.
I said this a while back: Nairobi was ceded to the National government when Sonko signed that document.
Even if somebody was elected Nairobi governor today, that person would just be a ceremonial governor with very little power or influence about the day to day running of Nairobi.
You have not answered him…why cant they rig in a favourable puppet?

In my view they already did,the process followed to install whoever is currently the governor was coerced.The due process was not fully followed.One time we heard there are court cases,next they’ve been withdrawn.
Overall they had their way because a by election was expected but didn’t happen…that is some kind of a rigged process
