How referees communicate

I have a question, how do referees communicate with players who speak different languages in a soccer match. For example, does a ref communicate with players when a team like arsenal play against a Ukrainian or Russian team …which language do they use?
Or how does a coach communicate with a player like pepe who doesn’t speak English?

we unaona referee hapa?

Pepe is taking english lessons and Arsenal has many french players to help with translation…
A number of refs are highly educated people…

pay close attention you will see non English speaking players, say from Brazil, being accompanied by a fellow Brazilian with a good command of the English language or or th3 club captain.
Also most referees are fluent in atleast 3 languages( they take lessons during their training). Spanish, English and French.
