The same was broadcasted after westgate then we moved on unto vera sidika.

This should always be featured kwa news kila siku.

Drills za moto are outdated sasa waanze za terrorists
You see, security is your own responsibility. We did not move onto vera sidika.....you did!

There is no way only four terrorists could have killed all those people if they only ganged up and fought back intelligently

Sounds like you're blaming the victims here. Anyway, allow me to throw a spanner in the works: what were those soldiers doing outside there from 6am to 5pm when Recce is reported to have arrived?:(

Make no mistake, I am not blaming them. I was just stating that if they had this information...then maybe...

Anyway, when armed robbers come for you, you take steps to protect yourself rather than look at bystanders and ask them why they are not assisting you. Now, I am in no way defending the soldiers actions, but rather what I am saying is that at the end of the day your action is what matters

I get you loud and clear. I can just imagine the terror someone who has never heard gunshots up close is suddenly woken up by the same at the crac of dawn.

That said, methinks those soldiers & police who were first on the scene should have stormed the building(s).

True true...most of these police officers ni waoga sana. Take a look at how they jump up when a senior police officer gets into the room. Being entrusted with that gun and the security of others should mean that you are a level headed person who executes his mandate with authority and have a level headed mind to act swiftly and with confidence in times of an emergency like that one.

Easier said than done normally they dont wear body armor hapo special forces all the way from gilgil ndio wanaweza not infantry
Why don't they? Wakitoka kule walitoka wakija hapo, weren't they aware of what they were walking into? Or is it policy that they shouldn't and therefore hata kwa store haziko?

I heard a narrative on social media that some of the soldiers refused to storm in and were scared as well, even their commanders branded them "girls"

Before they storm the building they would have to have a map of the building so they don't risk as much.

@The.Black.Templar , it's easier said that they could have ganged up and fought intelligently but when you face a situation like that you go in to panic mode.. Alafu what happens when you decide to fight back and no one joins you.. Utapigwa risasi pekee yako.

Unless you're a trained police the sound of gun shot will send you scampering. But even as you're fleeing, your mind is still active and that is why people will still run down a flight of stairs rather than jump out the window. With that said, when scampering, those fleeing should remember that you cannot outrun bullets. A hard barrier is the only the thing that can save your life

Hii ni ujinga mtu anatafuta clicks. You think unakuwa in what state when the guns start sounding? unacollapse na miguu inakataa kusonga juu ya shock. Or adrenaline inakufanya ukimbie in any direction possible. hukuona students wakijaribu kucommit suicide by jumping from buildings the other day ile scare ya campus?

but when you face a situation like that you go in to panic mode..
That is the trick.....avoid panicking. Maintain a straight head and keep track of what is happening around you...

Alafu what happens when you decide to fight back and no one joins you.. Utapigwa risasi pekee yako.
A terrorist is there for only one thing...killing. Its upto you to choose how you deal with the situation.....Run, Hide and when you have no option fight back even though you are alone in this
