On the other hand Epson is much more advanced than HP. They are manufactured by Seiko, the Japanese watch maker

HP have the best printers, but the ink cartridge is key to their printing technology. the cartridge is often more expensive than the printer. It’s a business trick.
Epson us cheaper, so many hacks in resetting timers for various nice models negating need of going to service centers, easy repairs and cheaper too.
For low scale to medium scale use, Epson excels so well.

I saw somewhere (I think on Business Insider ama CNBC) that it sells printers at a loss to lock you into the ecosystem. Then it recoups the cash on cartridges… Just like Sony and Microsoft on PlayStation and XBox.
I like canon. All printers cartridges, toners are the most expensive.
Never used Epson with laser technology. I hope they exist.
