HR Practitioners:Confidential Reference check

I went for a pre- interview with a recruiting firm 3 weeks ago for a job position that was advertised. The recruiters know me since it was not my first time there & they have my CV & documents in their database.Interview went well & they asked me for telephone nos & emails of my referees. One referee was my former assistant manager at my current employer but works elsewhere & the other was my former boss in a company i worked over 10yrs ago before i joined my current employer.(NOTE:They didn’t even ask for my current work colleague email & contacts whom i listed as my referee in my CV but they asked if my colleague knows if i am job hunting,i answered affirmative)So i called my referees today & they told me that the firm sent them a confidential reference check form to fill & they emailed them back this week. They were just general questions about my behavior, tasks, weaknesses…etc & told me nisiwe na worries coz they filled them vizuri.I have not had from the recruiting firm.

Question;Should i call the recruiting firm & ask for updates on my status or i ignore them and wait patiently?

hehe…mafala walikuchomea.

Nope. Wait . If the references are positive , they are writing the recruitment report to the employer . you will be called and the prospective employer disclosed. Probably one more interview with employer and a psychometric test. Wish you the best

all the best. patience.

Thanks air conditioned.I forgot to highlight for you Ktalkers that after the interview they sent for me a psychometric test which i did & emailed back.

Start by deleting offensive or uncouth posts on your social media accounts just incase they search there as well. Otherwise good luck.

If past two weeks enquire.
Got a friend alienquire kiufala after interview na akapata tu. A very lucrative and competitive one.

May God come through for you bro… That job is yours in Jesus name.

RWNEEEBP ni uncouth?

Had a discussion with an expert who works as an HR officer with a leading private firm.He said most companies including his employer outsource job applications to various recruitment firms & they take like between 3 or 4 candidates after accessing their recruitment reports from those agencies. The candidates are deem a ‘perfect fit’ for the job position available in their company so they organize dates for interviews but due to unavoidable circumstances they delay hiring(politics, restructuring, main boss out of office…etc). So he says i just relax but advises me to contact(follow up) the recruiter after some weeks IF you have a working relationship with them since there is no harm in knowing your job status.Am keeping my fingers crossed.
