They have probably done the math and the numbers were less than impressive…looks like only under million have registered. They will walk away from this thing slowly like those 1963 cards that were to be used in public transport .

Hiyo kitu ni process kuregister, takes almost 30 minutes per person. The ques dont move and people gave up on it. Wanangoja middle class wapange hizo line for a card/number that has no specific purpose???

It makes a lot of logic if you needed to collect the biodata of millions of people very quickly and fairly cheaply without having to employ a small army of hackers.

It’s a ploy by the government to have your biometric data available for sale/use to or by other governments/corporates for for a fee/for other shady purposes.
Put on your thinking cap… The “government” would not just sink in 6B of tax money for nuthin if they had nothing to get in return…

An average waiting time for each applicant is 20-25mns…hata ilikuwa zaidi some days ago with some breakdowns… Each station now registers maximum 40 people per day.
So 800k per day figure is misleading
