Up until 2004 Ugandans used to pay Tax, they called it musolo.

musolo was paid by all adult males and failure to that you could get jailed, kumbuka bado iyo time jamaa zilikua zinafungwa na Kama ni django style as they were frogmarched to the nearest police station.
