Hyundai Accent/Elantra.

Am just curious why this two models have never taken off in Kenya apart from the few I usually see at the airport. But they are the best economically. Easy to maintain and very low consumption with style/comfort compared to the Toyota.

We all tend to stick to what we ‘know’. What the brain doesn’t know, the eyes don’t see.

gari mupya ni za serikali boss

toyota scores #1 on cheapest maintenance globally. so usianze eti ooooh wakenya walifanya… hyundai one of the worst below the likes of BMW and other luxury stuff. na usidanganyike gari hazinanga repairs kwa kwaida miaka kama tano za kwanza na mafuta inanusa tu. ngoja izeeke moving parts zianze kuisha kwa period moja zote

I associate this brand with the jalopies baba Moi received from the South Koreans in the late 90’s. You barely see them on the roads these days.

Bias aside the Japanese are still number one at building an entry level, pocket friendly car.

hyundai is still a crap car. build quality is still subpar if you know cars.

Hyundai is doing good in the Middle East, pretty solid car, it’s yet to catch up in Africa.

That’s what I mean, I have seen alot of them within the middle east and its among the most affordable cars.

Yes agreed. Those models Moi received were crap but Hyundai have reinvented themselves since 2010.

after jamaa fulani enzi za Moi alipata accident nayo Nax akakufa na angekuwa na Toyota angesurvive maket value ilichapa negatives.

Afadhali Kia.

Hyundai brand rising. Sonata,Tucson, santa fe and range topper genesis.

I love the sportage, that’s the next car am buying after selling my junk that has served me well for yrs. if not that maybe the latest crv

Sorento pia iko sawa. With Marshalls as local dealers atleast you are assured of spares

I had imported a 2013 Sonata sometime back, the interior was spacious, heated front and rear seats, Hyundai bluelink that utilized mobile apps to start, stop, lock, unlock the vehicle remotely, modern Hyundai’s are far much superior than what hit our roads in the late 90’s.

Where’s the one with a turbo?
Hyundai never slept. Unlike SsangYong (guys who brought us the Musso and the Rexton). 2 characteristically shit vehicles that ever rode this planet.

Whatever happened to the numerous Musso’s that littered our city? I’ve yet to see any be it scrap ama juu ya mawe.

They really disappeared. Around 4 months ago I saw a blue one. Beaten beaten beaten like a slave.
How it was still moving was something else.
I remember their marketing thing was “2 to 4wd at the touch of a button”…

If I’m not wrong, every other MP drove a Musso in the mid '90s

It was prestigious. Our MP and his rival had one.
